Kennels
The main Kennel block of 10 kennels are designer kennels, hard wearing, weather resilient and insulated. Heated during the long winter months, holding the heat, but cool in the summer months. The floors are all tiled and the sleeping areas have either platforms or plastic bed. We provide all clean bedding but like you to bring just a small item with you to use in the bed to remind your pet of home. All the sleeping areas have access to covered runs through either a hatch or a full height door.
We also have 8 centrally heated indoor kennels more suited to the elderly, young puppies and nervous dogs.
We have opening hours so that when we are busy with your pet we are not constantly interrupted and thus spoiling the time with your pet. Please respect these opening hours which we will strictly adhere to unless other arrangements have been made.
Dogs are walked/exercised several times a day and given as much attention as possible. Our attitude is that they are on a holiday and as such are not just imprisoned. With this in mind please be patient when calling at the kennels and if you are in a hurry then maybe give yourself an extra 5 or 10 minutes when collecting or dropping off your pet.
Even when recommended we do prefer you to come and see where your dog/cat is staying and if for the first time and more than for just a few days we prefer you to book in for a couple of days for the sake of your pet. To be left at a strange kennels for a couple of weeks or so for the first time is not fair on your pet or us who have to deal with him/her.
We feed good quality dried complete food and also a wide variety of frozen meats and tinned. Any food you require your pet to be kept on that we don’t stock would have to be supplied by yourself.
We make NO charge for administering drugs.
We believe pet owners come to us because they know their pet is in very good, capable, safe hands ensuring their peace of mind and the happiness of those they leave with us. This we always aim to achieve and anything above and beyond is a bonus.
